An overcast start to the day. The course has held up well to the heavy rain overnight. The course is open today, and all 18 full greens are in play. A great day for a game.

I am still waiting to hear from the greenkeepers regarding how many greens are in play. However, I'd imagine most if not all full greens will be in play today.

The course is open once again today following the heavy rainfall yesterday. However, after inspection from the greenkeepers I can confirm that all winter greens will be in play today.

Due to the continuous rain and saturated underfoot conditions, the greenkeepers have closed the course today. If this changes before the end of the day, I shall update.

Not the nicest start to the day currently, with wet and windy conditions. The course remains open following the greenkeepers inspection, most full greens are in play with the exception of a few.

Ladies: Get into Golf

The ladies section at Cowglen is offering a Get into Golf programme to encourage more adults to become involved in golf. If you have little or no experience in golf but would like to try out the game, please get in touch.

For adult beginners, Get into Golf is a highly successful, national programme that has been developed to introduce more adults into the game. Adopted by more than one hundred clubs across the country, Cowglen is now offering a pilot GIGLs (Get Into Golf Ladies) programme, it will get you playing regularly and introduce you to club life. Equipment will be provided by the club for you to use during lessons and practice sessions to help get started.

Enjoy a fun, safe environment to try out golf, bring along some friends or make new friends join the GIGLs. Come along to our introductory talk on Wednesday 20th March at 7pm in the Cowglen Clubhouse
